Booking Terms & Conditions

Below are the terms and conditions for the Daily Mail holiday promotion. The newspaper terms and conditions supplement the Standard Booking Terms and Conditions and should be read in conjunction with them. Where they conflict, the promotional terms will apply.

STANDARD PROMOTIONAL TERMS

  1. CLOSING DATE: Bookings close at midnight on Friday 11 September 2020.
  2. AVAILABILITY: Holidays in this offer are subject to promotional availability at the time of booking online or processing of your postal application. Offer available on selected dates at selected holiday parks, resorts, hotels and boats as promoted. Not all locations are available on all dates. Certain dates may be excluded from the promotion. BreakFree Holidays reserves the right to remove any holidays on any date. This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. Prices and available dates correct at time of going to print
  3. FINANCIAL PROTECTION: The Mail does not own or operate any of the holiday parks, resorts, hotels or boats featured in this offer. Readers’ monies will be held in Trust by the booking agent, BreakFree Holidays, and will be passed to your holiday park, resort, hotel or boat operator on completion of your holiday, thus offering financial protection. For bookings made for Warner Leisure Hotels or Le Boat, your payment will be held by them after your booking has been made.
  4.  HOLIDAY CONTRACT: Holidays offered are organised by independent operators through the booking agent BreakFree Holidays. Your contract will be with the owner or operator of your holiday park, resort, hotel or boat and comes into effect when a holiday confirmation has been issued to you by them. Your operator will issue a confirmation within 21 days. If your postal application is unsuccessful, we will contact you within 28 working days of receiving your application. For any queries, please call the BreakFree Holidays helpline on 0344 543 9700 (lines are open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm). Acceptance by BreakFree Holidays does not guarantee acceptance by the holiday company concerned if the party breaches their terms and conditions. The party with whom you have your holiday contract accepts liability only for the negligent acts and / or omissions of its employees.
  5. TERMS & CONDITIONS: These Ts and Cs and Ways to Book apply to all holidays booked through this offer and, together with our Booking Terms and the standard conditions of your holiday operator that can be viewed on their websites, form the basis of your contract with your holiday park, resort, hotel or boat operator and theirs with you. Your application is your acceptance of the Ts and Cs of this offer.
  6. HOLIDAY PAYMENT: Full payment for your chosen holiday is required at the time of booking online. Adults, children and infants are charged at the same rate where a per person rate applies and are included in maximum occupancy numbers. Online payment must be made by credit / debit card and postal applications by cheque. Online bookings are subject to a £3 non-refundable booking charge.
  7.  AMENDMENTS AND CANCELLATIONS: No refunds can be made in the event of cancellation by you after the holiday confirmation has been issued to you in accordance with your application, unless the reason for cancellation is default by the holiday operator or in accordance to condition 8. NO AMENDMENTS can be made by you after your holiday application has been confirmed online or your application received by post.
  8. In the event that your holiday operator has to close in accordance with Government guidelines, you will be offered the opportunity to rebook for a later date at no extra charge, unless selecting a holiday of higher value, offered a full credit against a future holiday booking or your payment refunded. Cancellation may also be permitted on the same terms in the event of medically certified self-isolation of one or more of your holiday party. All other terms relating to changing or cancelling your booking apply.
  9. These are available on most UK parks, leisure hotels and some boats to suit people with disabilities. Please call us BEFORE you book, to discuss your individual requirements on 0800 138 3241.

  11. INSURANCE: Insurance is not included and is £12 per booking for UK Personal Insurance if required, when booking online. It is highly recommended. Full details of the insurance can be found on the website.
  12.  BED LINEN & EXTRAS: Bed Linen is included ONLY with UK Premier Plus accommodation at holiday parks, at Warner Leisure Hotels and boating holidays. For all other holidays, you may bring your own linen or hire it direct from your holiday operator at a supplement. An additional charge for any extras required, e.g. cots or highchairs, will be made by your holiday operator and is payable directly to them.
  13. TRAVEL: Travel to and from the Holiday are not included. Ferry crossings are NOT included. Ferries to the Isle of Wight can be booked once your holiday is confirmed with the operator, at an additional charge. Ferries can be booked at mailholidayparks.co.uk/ferry-deals
  14. DATA PROTECTION: For the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), BreakFree Holidays and DMGT Media are Joint Data Controllers of all personal data provided. By opting in to receiving marketing emails we will send you regular updates of the latest news on the promotion you took part in and any other offers from the holiday provider, BreakFree Holidays. BreakFree Holidays will only share your details with third parties where it is necessary to administer, process and confirm your holiday booking. Those third parties may then contact you directly to further administer, process and confirm your holiday booking. By booking with Warner Leisure Hotels you accept that you are happy to be contacted by Warner’s.

UK HOLIDAY PARKS: In addition to standard promotional T&Cs

  1. SERVICE CHARGE: An additional service charge is applied by holiday parks to cover the cost of pre-arrival cleaning and preparation of your holiday home and gas and electricity. Charges are listed in full on the BreakFree Holidays website (on the relevant Park page) and The Daily Mail are per unit per night. Service charges will be charged direct to you by your park in advance of your arrival. Some parks also charge an additional refundable cleaning / damage waiver deposit. These charges are in addition to the cost of your accommodation. Failure to pay additional service charges may result in your holiday being cancelled.
  2. ENTERTAINMENT: Holiday Parks offer day and evening Entertainment programmes for which there is a charge via Entertainment & Clubroom Passes but this is optional, and customers do not have to participate. Optional charges for Entertainment are listed in full on the BreakFree Holidays website (on the relevant Park page) and The Daily Mail. Please note that Entertainment / Clubroom passes may be required for access to facilities such as swimming pools, bars, restaurants etc. on selected parks. Some facilities may be seasonal and therefore not open during your holiday. The Entertainment Pass does not cover extra-charge activities such as fishing, sports coaching, rock climbing, etc. If in doubt, please contact the park for details. There is usually a charge for use of washing and drying machines and park amenities.
  3. In the event that a majority of the advertised leisure and entertainment facilities are not available in accordance with Government guidelines, payment made for entertainment passes will be refunded in full. A partial refund may be made if some leisure and entertainment facilities remain available. Please note 2020 holidays at Haven and some other parks do not include access to the usual entertainment, activities and pools. On Haven and some other parks 2020 breaks you will not be charged for entertainment passes, but if your park is able to give you access to these facilities in line with social distancing measures before your break, you will be given the opportunity to purchase entertainment passes, for access to these facilities
  4. HOLIDAY PARTIES: These are family holidays and bookings cannot be accepted from parties where all people are under the age of 25. Only people whose names are on your holiday booking form are permitted to occupy the holiday home or boat allocated.
  5. UK HOLIDAY HOMES: Comfort Plus mobile homes start from £15 per person per break (pppb), Comfort Extra Wide mobile homes start from £20.50 pppb, Premier Plus mobile homes start from £33.50 pppb, depending on date selected. Holiday homes will be available from 4pm on day of arrival (3pm for Premier Plus) and must be vacated by 10am on day of departure. Accommodation will be allocated by the holiday park / resort based on the size of the party.
  6. HOLIDAY DURATIONS: Three-night weekend breaks start on Friday and end on Monday. Four-night midweek breaks start on Monday and end on Friday. UK holidays have a minimum 3-night duration.
  7. DAMAGE & BREAKAGES: It is your responsibility to leave your holiday home or boat in the condition that you found it. Breakages, damaged or missing items WILL be charged to you.
  8. CATERING: These are self-catering holidays. Travel to and from your holiday is not included. Food (unless otherwise stated), drink, spending money and any holiday extras are also NOT included.
  9. PETS: Dogs are only allowed at holiday parks that display the dogs permitted symbol in the park listings and can only be included as part of an online booking. A maximum of two small / medium-sized dogs will be permitted in dog-friendly holiday homes at these parks. Other pets and some breeds of dog, including those listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act, are not allowed. If you are unsure whether your dog is allowed, please check with your park directly prior to booking. A charge is made for each dog and this must be paid at the time of booking. Dogs are not allowed on bedding or seating, must not be left unattended, must always be kept on a lead, and you must clean up after your dog. Dogs (other than assistance dogs) are not allowed in any park facilities or play areas. If your dog is causing a nuisance or damage, parks reserve the right to require you to remove it from the park
  10. FREE FOOD & DRINK VOUCHERS: Available on selected midweek breaks at parks where advertised - Entertainment passes must be purchased to receive them. Excludes school holidays and Bank Holidays.

UK HOTELS: In addition to standard promotional T&Cs

  1. Signature or Premier Chalet half board rooms (sleeps 2) from £169pp (based on 2 sharing). Linen is included in all rooms. If you are due to arrive during late evening you MUST advise your park / resort directly in advance.
  2. HOLIDAY DURATIONS: Three-night weekend breaks start on Friday and end on Monday. Four-night midweek breaks start on Monday and end on Friday. UK holidays have a minimum 3-night duration.
  3. Half board holidays, with breakfast and evening meals included.
  4. DAMAGE & BREAKAGES: It is your responsibility to leave your holiday home in the condition that you found it. Breakages, damaged or missing items WILL be charged to you.

BOATING HOLIDAYS: In addition to standard promotional T&Cs

  1. Great British Holidays 5% discount is deducted from the boat price on River Thames and Caledonian Canal Boating Holidays in addition to Le Boat’s special offers. Prices subject to change and vary depending on start date.
  2. Holiday durations: Bases closed on Tuesday and Sunday on the River Thames and Wednesdays and Sundays in Scotland.
  3. Dogs are allowed on these breaks for an additional supplement of £50 per pet for up to two dogs, maximum.
  4. Collision damage waiver is compulsory and non-refundable, and not included in the promotion price. £18 - £39 per day depending on boat type. An additional refundable low security deposit will also be requested at the base on arrival: £205 - £620 depending on boat type.
  5. The price does not include the cost of engine hours (which is payable locally). The hourly charge is between £5-£12 depending on the boat type and usage. Before departing the base you will be required to leave an Engine Hour Deposit of up to £225 depending on the duration of your holiday.

  7. Holiday extras, travel to and from your departure base, food, drink, spending money, waterside services such as moorings, pump out and any other costs not included.
